Holders of valid ordinary passports from the following countries do not need a visa to visit Bulgaria for up to 90 days within each period of six months: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Dаnmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Poland, Рortugal, Paraguay, Republic of Korea, Romania, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, UK (British Citizen Passport Holders and British Nationals/Overseas/ only), USA, Uruguay, the Vatican, Venezuela, SAR - China (Hong Kong, Makao).

Important Notice!

Family members of EU citizens, who do not have the nationality of the EU Member State, are entitled to the same rights as the EU citizens, for their travel to Bulgaria. This only applies to those having permanent residence in an EU country (ILR) and travelling together, or going to Bulgaria to join their family member (s) who is (are) already in the country. Family members of the EU citizen should be in a position to present on request a Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate, legalized and translated into the official language of an EU member country.

Persons with refugee status in an EU member country, and in possession of regular travel document issued of this EU member country, do not need a visa to enter Bulgaria.

The citizens of the Republic of Turkey possessing valid ordinary Turkish passports and Schengen visas or visas from other EU member countries, Switzerland and Lichtenstein, do not need visas for a transit trip through Bulgaria (up to 5 days) in case they travel to Turkey or from Turkey to the country for which they have the visa in question.

The holders of the following types of the British Passports need visas for travel to Bulgaria:

• British Overseas Territories Citizen without Right to Abode
• British Overseas Citizens
• British Subjects without Right to Abode
• British Protected Persons

Gratis visas are issued to citizens of: China, Macedonia, Serbia, Monte Negro

Requirements for Bulgarian visa:

1. UK Visa Requirements

At least 3 months UK visa validity after you coming back from your journey.

2. Passport (original and copy)

Valid for at least 3 month after return from Bulgaria. Copies of all documents must be supplied including the information page(s) of the passport and any passport pages holding residency permits.

3. Photos

Two recent colour passport size photographs. White background only (cream and light blue backgrounds are not accepted by the Embassy), shoulders must be in the photograph. It must be 35mm/45mm, printed on normal photographic paper uncounted and full face without sunglasses or head covering.

4. Application forms

• 1 completed and signed Bulgarian consulate application form. (Download)
• 1 completedand signed Smart Service Consulting order form. (Download)

5. Bank statements (original and copy)

Last three months bank statement - current account, not credit card account. The bank statements must be original, show the positive balance, have your name and home address. If your postal statements are older than 4 weeks, an up to date print out statement STAMPED by the bank should be provided. Bank Statement must show at least 50 EUR (or equivalent) per day of the required stay (no less than 500 EUR).

6. Travel Arrangements (original and copy)

• Travel Insurance. It is important that your insurance covers all medical expenses and repatriation (death). (Buy travel insurance)
• Confirmed and paid in full travel tickets. E-confirmations are accepted.
• Confirmed and paid in full accommodation details with the hotel address, dates of travel and your name.

7. Payment

We accept cash, cheques payable to Smart Service Consulting Ltd, postal orders payable to Smart Service Consulting Ltd or direct transfers. Bulgarian visa type C cost is £46, Express C Type Visa £92.

Note:

Embassy fee for Russia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Moldova nationals is £25 for normal processing time and £50.00 for express service.

Nigerian Nationals fees vary and are quoted in USD.

The visa fee charged is non-refundable regardless of the outcome.

If you would like us to post your documents back to you, please provide a pre-paid special delivery envelope or additional £7 for RMSD before 1pm, OR £15 for RMSD before 9am.

Duration of stay is issued at consular discretion. Total stay must not exceed 90 days within a period of 6 months.
