We know it can be stressful queuing up and spending a day applying for a visa to India. Our aim is to make India visa service simple for you. This service provides you with an actual India visa ready to use for your trip. We check, prepare and lodge your application with the Indian Consulate and pick up your passport with India visa when it has been processed. Please note that the normal processing time is 3 working days.

Tourists wishing to visit India are normally granted a short-term six month tourist visas, effective from the date of issue

Indian tourist visa requirements:

• original passport valid for at least six months after the journey.

UK residents for more than a year

• proof of stay in the UK of at least one year is required (bill, employment letter).

UK residents for less than 1 year

• additional special form is required (available, pls contact us) and processing time is 2 weeks.

• Two recent photographs (size: 50mm x 50mm)

  Attention: new requirements for the photos!

  From 10 December 2010 the size of the photos submitted with India visa application must be 50mm x 50mm.

  Please provide 2 identical, colour photos showing full face (no sunglasses, scarf or hat).

Please note: If you were born outside the UK, you need to provide an employment letter and three last months bank statements (current account, showing your full name and UK address).

Payment

We accept cash, cheques payable to Smart Service Consulting Ltd, postal orders payable to Smart Service Consulting Ltd or direct transfers.

Visa cost is £72 (incl. handling fee). Additional £10 for non UK passport holders or additional £10 for USA passport holders.

Tourist Visa advisory

Those holding multiple entry tourist visas must allow 2 months between exiting & then re-entering India. In case of requirement to visit India within 2 months, permission should be sought from the High Commission of India, London or the Indian Consulates at Birmingham and Edinburgh directly without going through VF Services (UK) Ltd. Where permission is accorded by High Commission of India in such cases, registration with the local FRRO/FRO would be required within 14 days of arrival in India . Processing time of the request will be 3-4 working days.

However, applicants , who after initial entry into India plan to visit another country and re-enter India before finally exiting, could be permitted more than one entry, as the case may be subject to their submission of a detailed itinerary and supporting documents . For such cases, the tourist visa will be issued for those specific entries only and not multiple entry.

In view of the change in the Tourist Visa procedure, applicants who hold a valid 6 months multiple entry visa & wish to travel back to India within 2 months, the Government of India has fixed Pounds Seven (£7/-) as 'Miscellaneous Charge' for according permission to re-enter India within two months of last exit. The re-entry permit will be granted on discretionary basis only for urgent travel requirements.

Indian Business visa requirements:

Indian business visas are normally granted for six months and a letter of invitation from an Indian Company is required.

• Original passport valid for at least six months.
• Two recent photographs (50mm x 50mm, colour, on a light background).
• Fully completed and signed Indian visa application form. (Download)
• One completed and signed Smart Service Consulting visa order form. (Download)
• A letter from the employer in the UK (on a letter headed paper, with original signature, not older than 4 weeks).
• A letter of invitation from an Indian company (faxed copies accepted).

Business Visa Embassy Fee

£117 - 6 months / 1 year, multiple entry

£170 - up to 2 years, multiple entry (issued only if a client had 1 year business visa before)

Additional £10 for non UK passport holders.

Our Handling Fee for a business visa is £45 .

If you would like us to post your documents back to you, please provide a pre-paid special delivery envelope or additional £7 for RMSD before 1pm, OR £15 for RMSD before 9am.

Please note that the normal processing time is up to embassy (approximately 1 week); however if you need express service please call us before sending your passport (this service is only available to British passport holders and UK residents for more than a year and additional charge will be applied). All foreign nationals, including children, require a visa to enter India. Please do not finalise your travel arrangements to India before ascertaining the visa requirements.
